Welcome to Tianjin Yinghua Cambridge International School
Message from our Principal: Mr John Evans
Welcome to the Tianjin Yinghua Cambridge International School (TYCIS) website. We are a school that operates almost autonomously within the larger Tianjin Yinghua International School. TYCIS is an exciting place to be; we are a school that is growing and improving and aiming high. Our students achieve at the highest levels with IGCSE, AS and A Level results that are the equal of top International Schools in the world.
Our school has now grown to over 300 students. Each year our Year 13 students receive university offers from high ranking universities in the UK, USA, Canada, Hong Kong and other places. Each year thus far, over 10% of our graduates have been admitted to either Oxford or Cambridge University. Our students also regularly receive awards from Cambridge Assessment International Education for “Top in The World” and “Top in China” for their amazing examination results.
As a selective school we choose our students based upon their academic ability and level of English. We are fortunate to be oversubscribed and we started the academic Year of 2018–2019 with a full Year 10 cohort of very able young people
It is a pleasure to work with dedicated, experienced and highly professional teachers who have the students learning achievements as their goal. At TYCIS we offer our students a truly international curriculum that is based on the UK system both in content and teaching and learning pedagogy. Of course there is more to a school than just learning subjects. Our students have the opportunity to partake in a wide range of extracurricular activities that help the students develop a multitude of other skills and abilities. Throughout their whole experience with us they are offered care by a team of tutors who oversee each aspect of their development as individuals.
I am honoured and proud to be the Principal of TYCIS. Please feel free to visit us and find out more if you are keen to be part of this vibrant and forward looking learning community.
